The conference attracted 103 participants from 21 countries. There appeared a Special Issue of Discrete Mathematics 309/22 (2009) containing selected papers together with research problems presented at the conference.

The Fifth Cracow Conference on Graph Theory "Ustron 2006" was held inin Ustron-Zawodzie, the well-known health resort in the heart of the  Beskidy Mountains, just on the border of Cieszyn Silesia. Ustron is surrounded by mountains at height up to 1000 m, covered with mainly beech and spruce forests.
